Come and see this fascinating 13th century sandstone church with a central spire. The interior has a very fine 15th Century brass dedicated to Sir William Bagot and his wife Margaret, together with 17th and 18th Century mural tablets and 18th Century panelling. Other unusual features are the two sets of triple chancel arches and the bell-turret built on the east wall of the nave. In the churchyard are graves from the Polish War and WWII. On Friday 12th September subject to numbers Sarah Horne, Chelsea Florist of the Year, will be holding one of her workshops in the Church creating arrangements specifically designed for St John the Baptist. From 12 - 4.00pm you are welcome to watch their progress whilst appreciating the unique history of your local church. The completed arrangements will be in the church over that weekend.
