About The Event
A statement from Baginton Village Events Committee:
We are absolutely devastated to announce this, but the Baginton Village Events Committee has come to the decision that we have to cancel Party in the Park 2020.
Without doubt, this was not a course of action we hoped to take for our 10th anniversary event, but following the new government announcement of an extended lock-down last week – and in times of such uncertainty – this is now our only viable option.
We need to think of the safety and well-being of our ticket-holders, artists, crews and supporting teams.
We’re extremely hopeful that the situation in the UK will have improved enormously by July. Even if it has, we feel that we are no longer able to proceed with the event which welcomes just under 2000 people to a gather at our wonderful family event.
This has not been an easy decision to make but we feel that it is the right one with so many other events of large gatherings cancelling or postponing their events as well.
We can’t stress enough how sorry we are that we have had to come to this decision, it wasn’t an easy one to make and we would like to offer our sincere apologies to those have already purchased tickets for a Party in the Park 2020.
We would like to assure you that tickets for the 2020 event will be honoured for the 2021 event – which has been set as Saturday 10th July, please do add this date to your diaries, we want it to be an event to remember and we hope to see as many of you there as possible!
The cancellation of this year’s event will no doubt come as a huge blow to our incredible regular visitors and village volunteers who work so hard to make this event happen and we know that you were looking forward to the event but we have to make this call for everyone’s safety.
Now, more than ever, we can’t wait to welcome you to our 10th anniversary Party in the Park (albeit belated) on Saturday 10th July 2021 and will have a line-up full of brilliant bands and performers so that we can make it a day / night to remember!
Until then, we send our love and support to all of you. Please do what you can in your day-to-day lives to stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you with open arms to Party in the Park 2021 once this is all over.
